Even before we spend any money on games and accessories for the Xbox 360, it is already a substantial expense. Fortunately though, once we start becoming heavily involved in all our favorite games, most of us forget all about the initial cost, at least until such time that something goes wrong with the system and it breaks down. If it's still under warranty then of course we can at least return it to the supplier for repairs. Even so, when one considers just how long such repairs can take, a break down of your system could spell disaster for your gaming inexperience. Of course, if you still have to fork out money for the repairs then the situation is even worse.

Xbox 360 systems are different than standard gaming desktops because they do not have as much cooling features as the gaming systems. Heat is your major enemy here and heat can produce really quickly after several hours of gaming. But you can prolong the life of your Xbox 360 if you follow these basic Xbox 360 maintenance tips.

Perhaps the most important tip of all, is that you limit your gaming hours. If you are a Quentin Tarantino fan then you know how important soundtracks are to his movies and the Kill Bill 1 soundtrack is no different. Tarantino works as hard picking out the music to include in his movies as he does directing them. He even produces some of the music and in a lot of his work you will find original pieces sung by the actual actors or actresses in the movie.

A great example of this is the song "You're my Wicked Life", which is sung by the late David Carradine, Julie Dreyfus and lead actress Uma Thurman. Like all Tarantino flicks, the Kill Bill 1 soundtrack is replete with songs from the old days mixed in with the latest jams. There are lots of people who haven't even seen the Kill Bill volumes that own the soundtracks because of the eclectic mix of music.

The music really does make the movie. Tarantino loves to take big time music artists and mix them in with little known or long forgotten singers and songwriters. In this soundtrack you have everyone from Nancy Sinatra and Quincy Jones to Charlie Feathers and Meiko Kaji, plus lots of others. There is definitely something for everyone.

The way Tarantino uses music to accentuate his film style is extremely obvious in the Kill Bill 1 soundtrack. Even without the visuals if you played the CD you get the picture of something very intense, violent but with a story behind it. That is classic Tarantino.

The Kill Bill 1 soundtrack has also shown how Tarantino has evolved over the years in regards to the music he adds to his movies. Probably the most famous Tarantino mix of film and music is Pulp Fiction, but with Kill Bill you can see how the director has evolved by the time he filmed this, his fourth big screen movie. The fans of the Kill Bill 1 soundtrack are many and varied.

What is interesting about Tarantino is that he always keeps his loyal fans, but is still capable of reaching out to a whole new breed of fan through his musical picks to accompany his films. That is not always the case with cultish movies.

Quentin has an amazing ability to choose music that spans across multiple audiences and generations. The Kill Bill 1 soundtrack has something many people across at least four generations.

From a marketing standpoint this was genius on Tarantino's part as in 2003 the nostalgic return of vinyl began. Collectors flocked to the soundtrack for Kill Bill and it continues to sell well today six years after it was first released. Music plays such an important role in movies, even more so in a Tarantino flick. One great thing about Tarantino's soundtracks is that they are timeless. It's easy to listen to them over and over again.

The Van Morrison Musical Career Story

George Ivan Morrison was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland as the solitary child of Violet Morrison and George Morrison, a steel worker. Morrison's father had a very large record collection and Van grew up listening to blues artists.

He is renowned for being stubborn, but is critically acclaimed with a devoted fan base and he often gives astounding live performances. His albums Astral Weeks and Moondance are often rated as being some of the best records recorded.

Morrison's father bought him his first acoustic guitar when he was eleven, and he learned to play some basic chords. He started performing as a professional as a young teenager in the late 1950s playng a number of instruments, including the harmonica, guitar, keyboards, and saxophone in a range of Irish bands covering popular hits of the day.

His first band "The Sputniks" in 1958 was named after the Russian and shortly after forming, they began to perform in intimate locations with Morrison on bluesy rich vocals and taking care of the arrangements.

Not particularly academic, and having no time for school, he left in 1960 with no qualifications. Coming from a working class background he was expected to get a full-time job to contribute to the family upkeep. After a series of unsuccessful soirees into traditional apprenticeships, he finally settled for window cleaning as a stop gap. He later wrote about his experiences in a number of his songs. Morrison had been evolving his musical interests from an early age and was driven to his unique musical direction.

Touring Europe for the first time at seventeen with his band The Monarchs, Morrison played saxophone, guitar and harmonica regularly, and bass and drums as required. He had become a competent musician and learnt his trade touring clubs and US Army bases in England, Scotland and Germany, playing five sets a night on many occasions. The band recorded a single at Ariola Studios in Cologne which was Morrison's first on which he played saxophone and remarkably it entered the lower part of German charts.

In the mid-1960s he was the lead singer with Them and recorded the classic "Gloria", one of the favorites in his sets. When he returned to Belfast the group disbanded and he began his solo career.

Under the tutelage of pop impresario Bert Berns, he released the hit single "Brown Eyed Girl" in 1967. Warner Brothers bought out his contract shortly after his manager had died. In several sessions he recorded Astral Weeks in 1968 which was critically acclaimed, but sales were initially poor. It has now grown to become an all-time classic. The album and title tune Moondance, established him as a major recording artist, and throughout the 1970s he built his reputation. Van Morrison continues to tour, record and collaborate with other artists, producing albums and live performances that are well received. In 2008 and in to 2009 he continues to perform Astral Weeks live always leaving the crowd wanting more.

Van Morrison is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and appears on "Greatest Artists" lists as well as receiving six Grammy Awards.

You'll Watch the Watchmen Over and Over

Never really planned on going to see this film. It was just one of those things where a friend wanted me to come along and I had never even heard of the film Watchmen before, but I figured what the heck. Now, I am anxiously awaiting the DVD to come out later this month, as a matter of fact I already pre-ordered it.

The movie is based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. The story takes place in an alternate 1985, where the Cold War is still going strong and Richard Nixon is still president. This profound movie features a rich plot, with many levels, including good vs.evil, internal conflict and corruption of those with power.

This is more then just a comic book made into a movie, it is a comic placed on the big screened and mixed with edge of your seat action. Watchmen was also geared towards a more mature audience, unlike other comic book movies, which gives them a chance to add a little more flavor to their action scenes.

Although the final DVD features have not been released yet, what we do know id that it is said to have a total of two hours of extras. There are also rumored that an ultimate edition will also be following the release which will have different version of the movie.

Watchman is scheduled for a DVD release date of July 27,2009, although it is available for pre-purchase at most reputable online retailers, like www.cdwow.com. Pre-ordering your copy is a great idea, as it ensures that you will get your copy when it is released instead of driving to a store to find out that they have no more copies in stock. Watching is a great action film and is one you will definitely want to watch over and over again.
